Tasting in Sammamish, Washington on November 1, 2020

1985 Croft Vintage Port – Nose of chocolate and some subtle herbs. Dusty red fruit, cherry  and a touch of cola on the palate. Rich, long finish with a hint of cinnamon. 92 points. 11/1/2020

1995 Tuke Holdsworth Vintage Port – Vanilla cake batter and some red fruit notes on the nose. Full-bodied, rich palate with red fruit, cherry hard candies. Long, balanced finish with some nice red fruit notes carrying through to the end. 91 points. 11/1/2020

1990 Graham Malvedos Century Vintage Port – Dark ruby-purple in color. Raspberry jam and chocolate on the nose. Dark fruit and hints of prunes on the palate, with a ton of cocoa powder. Overall, a complex flavor profile and a long finish. 92 points. 11/1/2020

1987 Krohn Colheita Port – Bottled in 2009. Nose of caramel, honeycomb and cedar. Hints of orange spice and butterscotch on the rich, luscious palate. Great acidity and balance. A slight note of heat pops up on the very end of the finish, but it didn’t impact the overall impression of the wine. 93 points. 11/1/2020

Quevedo 40 Year Old Tawny Port – Bottled in 2015. Hints of chocolate, dark fruits, and teak on the nose. Rich, luscious mouthfeel with molasses and burnt sugar. Long, balanced finish. 94 points. 11/1/2020
