This tasting took place on May 8, 2021, in Sammamish, Washington.

2019 Broadbent Quinta dos Carvalhais Dão White – Produced by Sogevinus. Great minerality on the nose. Clear, hay yellow in color. White peach, lime, and slate on the nose. Nice rich viscosity and great acidity on the palate. Rich notes of citrus on a very long finish. 93 Points

2011 Quinta Vale D. Maria Douro Red – Dark purple in color. Dusty raspberry, black cherry, and touches of vanilla and old wood on the nose. Great structure with noticeable tannins on the palate. Complex, with layers of flavors and tannins on the long finish. 94 Points.

1994 Fonseca Porto Vintage – Dark purple in color. Rich, dark fruit and fresh herbs on the nose. Boysenberry and black cherry on the palate. Only three hours of decant time, which is normally not enough for this wine to reach its apex, so will need to revisit it later. There is great concentration of fruit, with a lot of chocolate on the palate. 95 Points.
