Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Dark purple in color. Floral notes, cocoa powder, and dark fruit on the nose. Intense blueberry with some herbal notes underneath. Rich mouthfeel with well-structured, pronounced tannins. Long finish with some mint and residual strawberry on the finish. Decanted 8 hours. 95 points. 10/17/2020

Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Milk chocolate and some subdued floral notes on the nose. Coming after the 1994 Vesuvio, the nose seems a little more subdued. The initial approach presents like an older, drier wine, then opens up on the palate with amazing texture and notes of blueberry, boysenberry, and black currants. Very nice, long finish with some dark fruit and touches of cherry. Decanted 6 hours. 96 points. 10/17/2020

Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Initial notes of pine needles, giving way to some chocolate and dark fruit. The palate is well-rounded and well-integrated, showcasing black currant, raspberry, and some strawberry. Very long, balanced finish. Decanted 6 hours. 95 points. 10/17/2020

Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – The first sniff of the nose revealed some minerality and hints of slate with some blue fruits underneath. The expressive palate shows notes of chocolate and red fruit. There were some dusty tannins on the finish, which falls off just a little shorter than I normally see in this wine. 6 hours decant. 94 points. 10/17/2020

Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Boysenberry and some blueberry on the nose, underscored by some subtle hints of vanilla extract and light green pepper. Notes of cola and freshly crushed blueberry on the luscious palate. Very long finish. Decanted 6 hours. 92 points. 10/17/2020
