2008 Quinta do Noval Late Bottled Vintage Port – Unfiltered. Impenetrable dark purple in color with slight dark violet at the edges. Black fruit on the nose with some herbal undertones. Pronounced tannins on the approach and mid-palate. Tart, black cherry and a touch of sweetness on the long finish. 90 points. 12/29/2019

2009 Fonseca Late Bottled Vintage Port – Unfiltered. Extremely dark purple in color with slight clearing on the edges. Medium-bodied, elegant notes. Nice tannins on the mid-palate. Balanced, with tannins popping up on the finish. 94 points. 12/29/2019

2009 Cockburn Late Bottled Vintage Port – Opaque, medium purple with slight clearing on the edges. Red fruit on the nose. Unctuous mouthfeel. Fine tannins with tart cherry on the long finish. 91 points. 12/29/2019

2011 Taylor Fladgate Late Bottled Vintage Port – Bottled in 2015. Dark purple, opaque with medium purple at the edges. Some violet notes with some dustiness underneath. Full-bodied with nice balance, with some strawberry notes on the finish. 93 points. 12/29/2019

2013 Quevedo Quinta Vale D’Agodinho Vintage Port – Deep purple in color. Opaque in the center. Esteva and blueberry on the nose. Intense cherry and big tannins on the approach. Long, balanced finish. 89 points. 12/29/2019

2013 Dow Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira Vintage Port – Almost completely opaque in the center, lightening on the edges. Rose petals on the nose. Blueberry on the palate with slightly aggressive tannins on the mid-palate. 90 points. 12/29/2019

2013 Quinta do Noval Vintage Port – Almost completely opaque. Subdued nose, though some red fruit peeking through. Pronounced tannins, blueberry and a touch of heat. Great, structured wine. 91 points. 12/29/2019

2013 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port – Mostly opaque. Violet in color. Some blueberry on the nose as well as the approach. Big tannins come rolling in on the mid-palate, leading to a long finish. A touch of bitterness appearing at the end. 89 points. 12/29/2019

2012 Taylor Fladgate Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port – Mostly opaque with slight clearing right on the edges. Very subtle nose. Cranberry and a touch of boysenberry on the palate. 91 points. 12/29/2019

2013 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Extremely dark purple. Opaque with the slightest of lightening on the extreme edges. Blueberry and a touch of black currant on the nose. Pomegranate on the palate with a medium-long finish. 93 points. 12/29/2019

Croft Reserve Tawny Port – This wine doesn’t officially exist yet. Clear amber in color. Subtle nose of pralines. Great acidity, flavor profile, and balance. 90 points. 12/29/2019
