A little bitterness like almond skins on the mid-palate, with orange spice and cola note emerging on the late palate. Nice rich finish with great acidity. 93 points. 12/1/2018

1966 Krohn Colheita Port – Bottled in 2006. Dark brown-amber in color. Pretty cloudy. Mahogany, espresso, and wood on the nose, along with some underlying vegetative notes. Might be a touch of volatile acidity (VA). Unctuous molasses, eucalyptus, and herbal notes reminiscent of a Ricola cough drop. Long finish. 95 points. 12/1/2018
