1990 Dow Quinta do Bomfim Vintage Port – Amber brick in color. Clear. Light red hots on the nose with strawberry underneath. Strawberry and red fruit on the palate with a hint of spirit. Balanced, elegant mid-palate with a long finish. 89 points. 5/4/2017
1990 Graham’s Quinta dos Malvedos Vintage Port – Amber purple in color. Mostly clear. Ripe red fruit with a touch of sourness – likely from the seepage this bottled suffered. Cloying sweetness on the approach. Mouth-coating finish. A touch of vegetative notes on the finish. 87 points. 5/4/2017
1991 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port – Purple with hints of ruby on the edges. Light aromas of cake batter, grape candies, and some floral notes. Unctuous finish with cola notes. 90 points. 5/4/2017

1995 Quinta do Vesuvio Vintage Port – Very dark purple with a brick red tinge. Opaque in the center. A hint of the classic violets this wine is known for. Full-bodied with black fruit and herbal notes on the finish. 91 points. 5/4/2017
