Theme: 1990’s Late Bottled Vintage Ports

1992 Smith Woodhouse Late Bottled Vintage Port – Unfiltered. Some cherry and mint on the nose. Light prune notes and some red fruit on the mid-palate. A touch of heat on the long finish. 91 points. 8/4/2017

1992 Dow Late Bottled Vintage Port – Subtle aromas of dark fruit. Lots of dark fruit on the palate. Smooth, well-integrated mid-palate with some light spirit on the finish. 92 points. 8/4/2017

1994 Quinta do Noval Late Bottled Vintage Port – Unfiltered. Dark, brooding color. Intense cherry and red fruit on the mid-palate. Pronounced tannins still present on the finish. 93 points. 8/4/2017

1994 Taylor Fladgate Late Bottled Vintage Port – Corked. N/R 8/4/2017

1999 Quinta do Noval Late Bottled Vintage Port – Some mustiness and green pepper on the nose. N/R 8/4/2017

1991 Ficklin Vintage Port – Estate bottled May 1994. Dark fruit on the nose. Well-integrated palate with a touch of mint. This is an easy drinker. 90 points. 8/4/2017
